Yesterday I met an old friend.
His smile was so bright,
so honest, as opposed to his old smile,
his fake, his formal smile.
I remember him as a religious extremist,
a rigid person, a man as hard as a rock–
–and he has transformed into soft,
passionate human.
All because of the presenceĀ of a child.
It is a relief to witness that,
a child’s fluid consciousness,
his connectedness, his purity,
can eventually melt his parents’ rigidity,
and soften their heart.
A child has the power to transform the world,
even before worldly living gripped him, conditioned him,
and turned him solid.
Thank God the children are always here!

Very true.God wants us to remain HIS children in order to deserve His blessings. The trouble comes onlyn when we behave otherwise.
Your post is very deep and meaningful as usual.
God bless.

Yes! I am very grateful for the qualities children bring into this world.
Funny enough, the more I grow and expand, the more I realize how much of a child I really am. The more you know, the more you can see how much out there (or “in here”) that you really do not know. The sense of curiosity, thirst for knowledge, sense of adventure, and fun loving attitude that children posses comes to the forefront of your perception when you are ok with being a child of the universe.
Great post!

Hello Rizal Affif,
I love your use of words! I noticed your comments on blogs that I follow and thought it time to pay you a visit . . very impressive indeed.
On my blogs I’ve also written on this subject; to be as a little child is to return to our original state of ‘innocence’, which I equate to our ‘inner-sense’! Ahhh, how refreshing . . . how liberating . . . and how joyful it is to simply be . . .
I’ve created a link to your site so that I can now follow your great work,
Doug.
