Disciple: “Master, please, teach me wisdom.”
Master: “Take very good care of her.” (handed over a seed of plant)
(A year passed)
Master: “How is the seed?”
Disciple: “She grows well. I raise her as if she is my own daughter. I love her so much.”
Master: “Good. Now, plant her somewhere she can grow by herself, and never see her again. Let her go.”

Rizal,
Very profound. Everytime we get comfortable in wisdom, it uproots us so we can be planted somehere else.In order to keep growing, we HAVE to replant.

This is something that is not easy to do…all of us need to be reminded to let go every once in a while..:) Thanks for posting this.

I agree with all of the above. Good reminder to remain non-attached, especially to those we have cared for.

@ MyoChi & Shinzen: Yes, easier to say than to do, but it’s the ultimate lesson we need to master. Thanks, Folks
