By now I heard many people said that individuality,
individual experience,
is a belief;
for there is no individual, only Oneness.
Not realizing that in extreme avoidance of duality,
they feed on conceptual belief about Oneness of everything.

You’re right. Oneness, duality…all notions. All just beliefs and ideas. Words…dual by nature, can never capture the essence of Oneness. This is why the ancients used koans, shouting, and non-sensical behavior…to get us out of words.

When ‘all’ belief and ‘all’ concept is obliterated from the psyche, what remains? Unity, Wholeness, Oneness, Being … label it as one chooses for the label is inadequate to meet the challenge; but that’s all there is.

Oneness, Being, or whatever we call it, is a state when ego detaches from beliefs and concepts and dissolves with The Flow. But ego is cunning indeed; nowadays Oneness has also become a concept/belief to which ego clings and identifies itself. That is why, I agree with Shinzen, koan is the most effective way to dissolve ego I know so far. Koans are free of concepts and are less likely to be attached by ego. Maybe I should post more koan-like posts :p
Anyway, this is more of a warning for all of us. Is Oneness is directly experienced, or is it secondhand, simply parroted spiritual pointers, e.g. Lucknow Disease? One cannot be sure to judge/label others, but one sure can evaluate oneself.

Our individuality is a love letter from God addressed to us only. The words are meant for our eyes only and the message for our soul lets us float forever in wholeness. Consciousness essentially is a golf term – a (w)hole in one. :D
